The Air Force has selected 100 company-grade officers to take part in this year’s Undergraduate Flying Training program. Once candidates complete their training, they will be certified to fly piloted and remotely piloted aircraft, serve as combat systems officers, and as air battle managers. Future remotely piloted aircraft pilots will train at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. Air battle managers will report to Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. Those selected for pilot training will attend Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, or specialized pilot training at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss., Vance Air Force Base, Okla., Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, or Whiting Field Naval Air Station, Fla.
