Visitors to Arlington National Cemetery, Va., will face tighter screening. Cemetery directors have decided to implement additional security procedures, in addition to the random identification checks that now take place. All vehicle drivers will have to produce valid, government-issued identification, and agree to subject their vehicles to random inspections. Family members who hold permanent grave site vehicle passes will continue to have access to their loved ones’ graves, as long as their vehicle driver possesses a valid driver’s license. The tighter screenings will begin in November.
