The Army is nearing a decision to unveil a new Army Service Uniform, replete with a color scheme that hearkens back to World War II. The new uniform would feature an olive green jacket and khaki pants – similar to what was known as “pink and greens” when they were in use. The service introduced the uniforms during the Association of the U.S. Army’s annual convention in Washington, D.C., in October. A subsequent poll conducted by Army Times indicated that 77 percent of all respondents favored the new uniform. It would replace the current light blue trousers and dark blue coat. A final decision is expected by the end of next year.
