Combat-capable U.S. drones soon will have new un-piloted company in the skies. The Belarus Academy of Science displayed an armed version of its Burevestnik-MB unmanned aerial vehicle Sept. 15 at a military trade show in Moscow. Unarmed versions of the aircraft will be able to carry 130 pounds of payload, including video, photo and infrared cameras and laser rangefinders. The armed versions will offer a more powerful engine, capable of carrying two  “kamikaze” drones with 55-lb (26 kilogram) warheads under the wings. With wing modifications, it also can be equipped with 57-mm unguided rockets.
