A contractor who worked for the National Security Agency (NSA), U.S. Cyber Command, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Reconnaissance Office stands accused of illegally taking and holding classified information. According to a Feb. 8 indictment, Harold Thomas Martin III of Glen Burnie, Md., allegedly took the information while working for the government during the past 20 years. Martin held a top-secret security clearance and was authorized to view Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) at various times during his career, according to an FBI statement about the case. If convicted, Martin faces up to 10 years in prison for each of the 20 charges against him. He was held in custody, pending a Feb. 14 appearance before a federal judge in Baltimore.
