Jonathan Pollard, who was sentenced to life in prison for conducting espionage for Israel while he worked for the Navy as an intelligence analyst, has been released from prison after serving 30 years. Terms of his release include a requirement that he wear a GPS unit to allow authorities to keep tabs on his whereabouts, the Associated Press reported. Pollard will remain in New York, despite his desire to renounce his U.S. citizenship and emigrate to Israel, according to the report.
