Cruise Missile Contract Awarded

Lockheed Martin will begin work on advanced and more affordable cruise missiles, under a new $110 million contract issued through the Air Force Research Laboratory at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Under the contract, Lockheed will design, develop, manufacture, and test prototype systems that would be capable of defeating enemies’ integrated air-defense systems. Work would take place primarily at Lockheed’s Dallas facility. The project is due for completion in December 2022.
