The Air Force is almost done recertifying 1.5-mile run and 2.0-kilometer walk courses on installations service-wide. The process culminates an effort that began after the discovery that courses at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, and Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., were too long. “We’ve corrected the course lengths at the two bases originally identified, and we are working to ensure that the other 29 bases are corrected as well,” said Brig. Gen. Brian Kelly, director of the service’s Military Force Management Policy. The Air Force also is reviewing fitness scores of airmen at the bases where courses were not measured accurately.
