The Navy has released the January 2018 service-wide testing schedule for sailors eligible to advance to chief petty officer (E-7). The top 60 percent of sailors who take the January examination will be able to move forward to the next stage in the E-7 advancement process. First class petty officers who take the test, scheduled for Jan. 18, would learn in March if they can move forward.
