The Navy is accepting applications from unrestricted line captains and captain-selects for the 2005 National Security Management Course at the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. This six-week course focuses on various aspects of national security policy, including how political, economic and social forces influence decisions within the Department of Defense. Applicants must be top-performing unrestricted line captains or captain-selects with a proven track record of management and superior performance, and holding a master’s degree or proven subspecialties. Deadline to apply for the course is Sept. 30. Applications must be command-endorsed and should be forwarded to the Commanding Officer, Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center (NETPDTC), Code N2A2, 6490 Saufley Field Road, Pensacola, Fla., 32509-5204.
