Researchers at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine have joined with the University Hospitals in Cleveland to study how bedbug bites may spread symptomatic illnesses. Under the arrangement, the hospitals will provide frozen dead bedbugs to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio-based school. There, scientists with the 711th Human Performance Wing will conduct tests on the insects. They hope to identify “unusual sequences that may support further studies,” according to an Air Force press release.
