Retired Marine Corps Gen. James Cartwright, who served as vice-chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has admitted in federal court that he was the source for a New York Times story on a computer virus intended to thwart Iran’s effort to start a nuclear program. Foreign Policy magazine reported Oct. 17 that Cartwright admitted he lied to federal prosecutors, and could face a prison sentence up to six months.
