The general federal pay raise effective this week increases the thresholds applying under certain ethics rules, the Office of Government Ethics has told agencies.

One such restriction places additional post-employment conflict of interest restrictions on those whose salary is 86.5 percent or more of the executive schedule level II rate; that threshold is now $161,755.

Another threshold, which determines which employees must file publicly accessible financial disclosure reports, applies to those whose salary is 120 percent or more of the minimum rate of GS-15; that threshold is now $124,406.40.

A third restricts outside earnings for certain non-career employees to 15 percent of the executive schedule level II rate; that threshold is now $27,765.
