The House has passed DHS management-related bills including:

HR-4567, to require a review of the department’s overseas workforce and inviting a proposal to improve the effectiveness those employees and to improve their cooperation with employees of other agencies;

HR-4433, to require the department to strengthen the controls over the firearms in its possession;

HR-4555, to authorize DHS to participate in interagency counterterrorism task forces;

HR-4561, to allow its component TSA to allow for outside testing of facilities, equipment, and systems related to transportation security and promote reciprocal recognition of security-related standards among international organizations; and

HR-4569, to promote more sharing with DHS of counterterrorism information gathered by other agencies.
