FSA Claims Blackout Period Ending

The “blackout” period in the FSAFEDS flexible spending account program, triggered by a change in carriers in that program, is ending and regular operations are to resume tomorrow (September 1). During the month of August the program was not accepting new enrollments or claims, and over the last several days the program’s customer service center and online access have been shut down, as well. Functions such as processing manual claims submissions, requests for new enrollments and requests for changes in accounts due to certain life events are to resume tomorrow, while processing of paperless reimbursement claims and pending dependent care claims is to resume September 8.
