It’s now easier to find and apply for federal jobs but many people going through the hiring process are frustrated by the lack of information regarding the status of their applications, the Merit Systems Protection Board reports. Job-searching is easier because agencies now do their own advertising and databases provide job listings and qualifications requirements government-wide. But applicants commonly complained about not receiving timely feedback or no feedback at all, having to supply too much information and receiving poor service from examining office staff, said MSPB in its report, “Competing for Federal Jobs: Job Search Experience for New Hires.”
