GSA has announced new per diem rates for travel on federal business effective October 1. For destinations not covered by a specific rate, a standard $83 lodging allowance and $46 meals and incidentals expenses allowance will continue to apply. The number of destinations with specific rates—some of them have variations by season—will remain around 400, with two new locations added (Kayenta, Ariz., and San Angelo, Texas), five dropped (Glenwood Springs/Grand Junction, Colo., Lakeville, Conn., Chesapeake/Suffolk, Va., Lake Geneva, Wis., and Sheridan, Wyo.) and the boundary lines of several others changed. The top lodging rates include Telluride and Vail, Colo., $334 and $312 a day, respectively, in December through March; New York City, $304 in October through December; and Nantucket, Mass., $289 in June through September.For locations with specific lodging rates, the meals and incidentals portion will continue to range from $46 to $71 in $5 increments.
