Airmen who wear the new OCP (occupational camouflage pattern) uniform can wear the subdued patches from their old Airman Battle Uniforms until the mandatory subdued brown one take effect. They also are required to wear the subdued U.S. flag patch, “centered at the top of Velcro and worn while in-garrison and deployed,” the service announced. Subdued black and green flags can be worn until June 1, 2020, at which time all airmen must wear the new spice brown subdued flags. The same regulation applies to higher headquarters patches, until the conversion to new patches is complete or April 21, 2021, whichever date arrives first.
