Soldiers could begin receiving and wearing the new Army Service Uniform sometime this month. Stars and Stripes reported Feb 5 that the first 200 uniforms — patterned after the “pink and greens” worn during World War II — would be distributed to recruiters. The Army official adopted the retro service uniform design late last year. Recruits would be issued the uniforms once they complete basic training next year, with distribution reaching the entire army by 2028.
