Service members would see their Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) rise an average of 2.8 percent on Jan. 1. The Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) would rise 0.9 percent. Enlisteds would receive $372.71 per month in BAS, while officers would get $256.68. More details will be articulated in an upcoming Executive Order. The BAS and BAH allowances are intended to help service members cover a portion of out-of-pocket expenses for food and housing, respectively.
