The Navy has done away with the so-called “Blueberry” camouflage uniform. Stars and Stripes reported that the Type I Navy Working Uniform, its official name, would no longer be authorized for wear as of Oct. 1. The blue uniform had been in service for 11 years. The eight-point cap sailors wear also is changing, the paper reported. The cap now will incorporate an emblem bearing an anchor, the USS Constitution, and an eagle in the spot where rank insignia previously were located.
