Military parents now have another resource for finding child care. The Defense Department announced Aug. 10 that it is creating a new web-based platform linked to a network of providers. Service members can gain access to the site through MilitaryOneSource.mil or by calling Military One Source at 800-342-9647, and obtaining a subscription to the network free of charge.
“We understand that families may need assistance. This new service provides a flexible way that empowers modern military families to find child care services that best meet their hourly care needs,” said Kim Joiner, deputy assistant secretary of defense for military community and family policy.
