Veterans suffering from Hepatitis C brought on by their military service now can receive free treatment, regardless of the seriousness of their condition. The Department of Veterans Affairs has expanded eligibility for Hepatitis C treatment to all such veterans, citing congressional support and a decrease in the price of drugs to treat the disease. The sickest patients also will be given the highest priority in scheduling appointments at VA and Choice Program facilities.
