The Marine Corps has received the first two significantly upgraded Light Armored Vehicle Anti-Tank Modernization (LAV-ATV) models. The manufacturer, Raytheon Corp., delivered the vehicles to Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., June 23.

The most significant of the upgrades is a state-of-the-art rocket launcher, mounted on a new Modified Target Acquisition System turret, which significantly enhances the LAV-ATV’s tank-killing capabilities. Raytheon built the vehicles at its production plant in Barstow.
