The Marine Corps has canceled the physical fitness test (PFT) requirement for this half year. Gen. David H. Berger, the commandant, announced the decision to do so in an April 21 Tweet, citing COVID-19 prevention guidelines as the reason.

“Our fitness to fight remains a priority, and I expect each of us to continue to maintain our fighting condition,” Berger wrote.
Details would be forthcoming in a service-wide MARADMIN announcement, Berger stated.
