The Marine Corps accepted delivery of the first modified MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, with upgrades in the aircraft’s readiness and reliability. Boeing and Bell Textron Inc., the aircraft’s manufacturer, presented the aircraft to Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., on Dec. 10. The next delivery will take place sometime in early 2020. Boeing and Bell Textron were awarded a $146 million contract in November to upgrade nine more Ospreys. Work should be complete by March 2022.
