Sailors now can use their Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) to pay for expenses incurred during PCS (permanent change of station) moves. The decision comes as the service prepares to resume transfers, which have been significantly curtailed since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The service had conducted a pilot program that authorized use of the cards, which garnered positive response from sailors and led to the changed policy. Sailors who encounter issues with card use can get help through the Naval Personnel Command’s MyNavy Career Center (MNCC) Contact Center. If necessary, they also can contact Citibank, the card’s issuer, using the phone number on the back of their card. Sailors who choose not to use the GTCC during PCS moves still have the option of activating it. More help is available at the MNCC call center, reachable by phone at 1(833) 330 6622, or email at askmnc@navy.mil.
