Ahmad Bradshaw, the rising junior who was expected to compete for the starting quarterback job at the U.S. Military Academy, has dropped out. Army coach “Jeff Monken attributed Bradshaw’s departure to “administrative stuff” that “you can’t control.” The (Middletown, N.Y.) Times Herald Record reported Aug. 16 that Bradshaw already had attended practice with the team before deciding to leave West Point. The Cadets now must rely upon sophomore Chris Carter as their only experienced quarterback. Four freshmen also are on the team’s depth chart at the position.
