Seventeen service members and one Naval Academy midshipman are competing in the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro. All but one are members of Team USA, the web site wearethemighty.com reports. They are:

•      Army Spec. Hillary Bor, men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase.
•      Army Spec. Paul Chemo, 5,000 meter race.
•      Army Sgt. 1st Class Glenn Eller, a marksman, double trap event.
•      Marine Corps 2nd Lt. David Higgins, 50-meter prone rifle.
•      Army 2nd Lt. Sam Kendricks, pole vault.
•      Edward King, Navy, on leave of absence, rowing.
•      Army Spec. Shadrack Kipchirchir, 10,000-meter race.
•      Army Spec. Leonard Korir, 10,000-meter race.
•      Army Spec. Daniel Lowe, air rifle and three-position prone rifle.
•      Army Staff Sgt. Michael Lukow, recurve bow (archery), Paralympic Games.
•      Army Sgt. Elizabeth Marks, 100-meter breaststroke, Paralympic Games.
•      Army Sgt. 1st Class Michael McPhail, 50-meter prone rifle.
•      Army Staff Sgt. John Nunn, 50-kilometer race walk.
•      Army Sgt. 1st Class Josh Richmond, double trap shotgun.
•      Army Sgt. 1st Class Keith Sanderson, 25-meter rapid-fire pistol.
•      Army Sgt. Nathan Schrimsher, pentathlon.
•      Air Force 1st Lt. Cale Simmons, pole vault.
•      U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman Regine Tugade, 100-meter dash, representing Guam.
