U.S. European Command is authorizing some family members an upgraded seating priority when they travel space-available on military planes within the command’s theater of operations. The program applies to command-sponsored family members of Task Force 1st Armored Division service members whose tours of duty were extended beyond 365 days and who are currently serving in Iraq. Such family members may travel space-A with a priority at the top of Category 3. This offers relief for those who wish to return to the United States while their sponsor is deployed. Interested family members should contact their sponsor’s unit orderly room. The initiative, good as long as the service member is deployed to Iraq, expires Aug. 31
