Veterans who suffer from traumatic brain injury (TBI) traceable to their military service now have a wider window in which to seek help from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The VA’s Assisted Living Pilot Program for Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury now will remain in effect until Oct. 6, 2017. The program had been slated to close at the end of this year. Under the program, eligible veterans can receive treatment at private facilities that specialize in neurobehavioral rehabilitation.
