The Navy Exchange Service Command is now authorized to sell new motor vehicles to authorized patrons after they have been serving outside the continental United States for 30 consecutive days (90 days for motorcycle purchases). The vehicles can be purchased for in-country or stateside delivery. “This is a great benefit for our military service members who will be temporarily assigned overseas for at least 30 days,” said Phil Austin, NEXCOM services specialist. “We hope this change in the benefit will allow more customers to take advantage of the services offered by Exchange New Car Sales Program.” Previously, only customers assigned outside the United States who were on permanent change of station orders could purchase a new vehicle from Exchange New Car Sales for stateside delivery.
