Nominations are being accepted through July 31 for the 2018-2019 CXO Fellows program, a partnership between the CFO, CAO, CIO and CHCO councils for employees at GS 9 through 14 “who have demonstrated the ability to perform at a high level and have shown leadership potential.”
The goal of the program is to broaden their knowledge of government management functions and foster cross-government relationships through interactive discussions and collaboration, said an announcement. Each CFO, CAO, CIO, and CHCO of the 24 CFO Act agencies may nominate one agency employee per functional area; employees may be nominated by their supervisor but must be approved by the agency CFO/CAO/CIO/CHCO through each agency’s internal selection procedure.
Fellows will attend educational seminars and events sponsored by the Office of Executive Councils, with a time commitment of about 15-20 hours per month including both in-person events and webinars. There is no cost for the program and fellows remain in their current position while participating in the year-long program that will begin in October, it added.
Fellows must be based in the Washington, D.C. area “due to the frequency and fluidity of events.” Nomination procedures and other details are on the CFO Council site.
