The House has passed a series of bills related to DHS management issues:
HR-1158, to authorize the creation of a DHS “cyber incident response team” to help repair damage resulting from such incidents and to make recommendations for lowering cybersecurity risks.
HR-2539, to authorize DHS to send personnel from TSA and other pertinent offices to assist lower levels of government in enhancing the security of high-risk surface transportation assets and to improve the sharing of information regarding potential threats.
HR-2083, to increase the share of uniforms and personal equipment for DHS personnel procured from U.S. manufacturers, tighten controls over delays in delivery, and study whether an increase in uniform allowances is needed.
HR-2590, to require DHS to create and submit to Congress a plan to improve the effectiveness of the overseas deployments of its personnel.
