The EEOC will conduct training sessions next month at its headquarters on conducting investigations and drafting final agency actions.
At a one-day session on April 11, participants will receive instruction on recent developments in federal sector EEO and discuss how these changes affect investigation of complaints filed by federal employees. Participants will also practice investigative skills.
A three-day session April 23-25 will cover tools and techniques to draft effective EEO final actions in the federal sector. It will cover the basic elements and formats of various kinds of EEO final actions and when to use them, the importance of providing a complete procedural history leading to the final action; constructing a complete complaint/case file, combining legal analysis with the facts, and writing a conclusion.
