The FLRA has launched a Youtube channel featuring five training videos designed to supplement its in-person training events—which like training in general government-wide has been suspended—on unfair labor practices under the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute, the labor-management section of civil service law.
The posting on YouTube also complies with the agency’s most recent strategic plan’s goal of providing resources to help prevent and more efficiently resolve labor disputes and improve relations.
The topics cover discrimination, duty of fair representation and to bargain in good faith, formal meetings and investigatory examinations, information requests and other matters:
Unlawful Interference – Section 7116(a)(1) of the Statute
Violations by Unions – Duty of Fair Representation and To Bargain in Good Faith
Discrimination – Section 7116(a)(2) and (4) of the Statute
Meetings and Bypasses – Formal Meetings, Investigatory Examinations, and Bypasses
Information Requests – Section 7114(b)(4) of the Statute
