Federal Manager's Daily Report

The GPO’s Leadership Evaluation and Development has won the Graduate School USA’s W. Edwards Deming Award in the employee engagement category. The award goes to an agency initiative that demonstrates innovation resulting in improved engagement, internal communication, and team-building.

The GPO program focuses on developing leadership skills and the tools to lead themselves, individuals and teams and “has proven to make a difference in improving employee engagement at GPO,” said GPO Director Davita Vance-Cooks in a statement. “As GPO continues to transform into the digital information platform for the federal government, it is important to focus our employees on the leadership attributes of inspiration, motivation, and accountability.”

GPO said that more than 300 employees have completed the program, which is open to all, in its six years.
