The Office of Personnel Management is offering a five-day seminar for mid-level federal managers or management team members looking to improve their skills in outcome management and/or who are responsible for supporting the implementation of the Government Performance and Results Act.
The seminar, called “Managing Your Organization to Outcomes and Results,” concentrates on the development of strategic plans, annual performance plans, and methods for measuring program results. Participants examine the GPRA in a national context and study successful case histories in a workgroup approach while developing a structured, strategic, outcome-oriented plan for their own organization, as required by the GPRA. Appropriate implementation, progress, and measurement systems are formulated and documented throughout the seminar.
It takes place from Jan. 26 – 30, at the Eastern Management Development Center in Shepherdstown, WV. Tuition is $2,600 and includes meals, lodging, and course materials. Find more info and register online.
