Federal Manager's Daily Report

GSA and DoD have announced a partnership that they say will “expand the adoption of artificial intelligence at DoD and help drive wider AI adoption across government” through cooperation between the former’s Centers of Excellence and the latter’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center.

“The partnership will focus on JAIC’s mission of accelerating the delivery of AI-enabled capabilities, scaling the department-wide impact of AI, and synchronizing DoD AI activities to expand Joint Force advantages,” the announcement said.

The initiative conforms to the administration’s emphasis on expanding AI in general, and with GSA’s plans to establish an AI center of excellence, it said. GSA previously had partnered with agencies including Agriculture, HUD, OPM and the Consumer Product Safety Commission to apply the centers of excellence approach to modernization.
