The GSA has launched buy.gsa.gov as a “new starting point for all things federal buying” designed “to address pain points in the acquisition process,” in the words of its announcement.
Separate sections on the site for buyers and vendors reflect “user research and usability testing sessions that included federal agencies, vendors, and GSA’s own acquisition professionals,” the announcement said.
Key features for federal acquisition personnel include tools for conducting market research, finding contract vehicles and vendors, and meeting mission requirements or Small Business Administration targets; templates, sample documents and pricing resources; and an interactive checklist with self-help modules.
