The General Services Administration has reorganized its government-wide knowledge repository for cloud computing, the Cloud Information Center, so that the complex information it contains is more accessible and digestible.

It said the changes to https://cloud.cio.gov/ make the portal more accessible to those with disabilities and are “based around user needs and tasks, consistent in appearance, securely hosted and connected, original, not duplicating existing content, searchable and mobile-friendly.”


The change comes a year after launch of the site, which consolidated several prior GSA resources on cloud computing to “help educate the federal workforce on the complexities of migration and how to support a cloud environment once fully deployed,” in GSA’s words.

“The GSA Cloud Team, in collaboration with government and industry, will be continually updating the CIC to keep it current with federal policies, cloud technologies, and best practices,” it added.
