The Partnership for Public Service has opened the nomination period for its 2020 Samuel J. Heyman Service to America awards, or Sammies, a top honor for federal employees.
“A nominee can be new to government or have decades of service. They may directly serve citizens or work behind the scenes to make our government more effective. They can serve in any field and work in any part of the country, or even abroad,” an announcement said. There is no limit to the number of nominations an agency or individual may submit.
Eligibility and selection criteria, category descriptions and nomination procedures are at servicetoamericamedals.org.
Nominations are due January 17 and winners will be announced next fall.
