OPM has begun an assessment of learning and development programs, starting with a survey going out to agencies to “collect information on agency training programs that includes facets of the training and development lifecycle.”
That is a step toward to creating a learning and development policy agenda “that focuses on the evolution of training in the federal government,” OPM said in a memo.
The survey is being sent to agency chief learning officers or equivalent officials responsible for those programs. Agencies with multiple components are to submit only one response, with a deadline of October 27.
“Once the survey analysis is completed, the results will be included in a brief summation of the state of governmentwide learning and development and will be made available to all agencies,” OPM said.
