Federal Manager's Daily Report

The annual Public Service Recognition Week will be held May 3-9, although on a virtual basis due to pandemic-related restrictions, the federal employee unions and other organizations who sponsor the week say.

While public events of the past such as 5K runs, talks at schools and service organizations, and on-site awards ceremonies will not be held, “it is our belief that now, more than ever, we need to recognize the amazing work of our nation’s government employees,” the sponsors said.

Among the events will be the annual announcement of finalists for the Service to America Medals, or Sammies, one of the top annual honors for federal employees.
