Federal Manager's Daily Report

Presidential Rank Awards, the top honor for SES members and senior professional career employees, will go to 131 persons this year.

There are two categories of awards, distinguished executives and meritorious executives. Distinguished executive awards, which include a lump-sum payment of 35 percent of base pay, will go to 43 executives and three professionals. Meritorious executive awards, which include a lump-sum payment of 20 percent of the base pay, will go to 75 executives and 10 professionals. Award winners are nominated by their agency heads, evaluated by boards of private citizens, and approved by the President.

The awardees will be recognized at a leadership summit December 13 in Washington, D.C., that will include educational and policy tracks and speakers including Margaret Weichert, deputy director for management at OMB and the acting OPM director.

A listing of winners and information regarding the summit is at presidentialrankawards.com.
