The EEOC has opened registration for its annual EXCEL conference (Examining Conflicts in Employment Law) July 31-August 1 in Atlanta with a theme of Respect, Opportunity, Inclusion.
The conference is geared for federal—as well as state and local and private sector—EEO managers, HR professionals, alternative dispute resolution specialists and others with roles in EEO policies and practices. It satisfies EEO counselor and investigator refresher training requirements and offers continuing education credits for Human Resources Certification Institute, Society of Human Resource Management, and Continuing Legal Education.
Specialty tracks, workshops and addresses by leaders in the field will cover topics such as the latest developments in EEO laws, preventing harassment and discrimination, alternative dispute resolution, reasonable accommodation, settlement strategies, social media in the workplace and more.
