Updates to the President’s Management agenda have been posted on performance.gov for January-June, covering both agency priority goals and cross agency priority goals, and with additional information on Coronavirus response efforts that arose during that period.
The former category includes some new entries such as a Justice Department initiative on combatting cyber threats and a VA initiative on suicide prevention,
According to a blog item, the cross-agency goals of modernizing the infrastructure permitting process, getting payments right, and security clearance, suitability and credentialing reform “have achieved a level of maturity and implementation that enables a shift in focus from planning towards demonstrating results.”
Also, a new goal of “frictionless acquisition” subsumes the goal improve management of major acquisitions and “emphasizes breaking down barriers to entry to enable just-in-time delivery and greater resiliency of the federal contracting base,” it says. And the federal IT spending transparency goal has been folded into the IT modernization and category management goals.
Further, a new strategic objectives dashboard “displays the latest agency strategic objectives in an interactive, easy-to-view way. Strategic objectives are set by agencies to advance the long-term outcomes identified in the agency strategic plan, and are supported by more specific performance goals and indicators.”
