This year’s edition of the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey–an annual poll that gives employees the opportunity to weigh in on everything from the accuracy of their performance ratings to the honesty of senior agency leaders–will be distributed in two stages beginning in late April, OPM has said. The survey periods will be open for six weeks, closing in mid-June, with initial results released starting in August. OPM in particular is now watching indicators of how engaged employees are in their work and their overall satisfaction, as shown by responses to a number of questions getting at those issues. Results of the 2015 survey showed a slight general improvement in opinions about various aspects of the government as an employer, although in many cases that represented only a partial recovery from downturns of the prior years.
