Numerous bills affecting federal personnel policies that have passed the Senate committee level could come to a full Senate vote soon as part of a package designed to improve their chances of final approval. Bills that have passed the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that are to be included include: S-2450, to restrict the use of administrative leave generally to five days a year; S-742, limiting bonuses of employees who have engaged in misconduct; and S-2127, boosting whistleblower protections. Also set to be included are numerous bills dealing with unneeded federal property, improper payments in agency programs, strengthened powers for agency IG offices, and others.
