Update: FSA Open Season Extended, Enrollments Accepted

The open season for the federal flexible spending account program has been extended by a week, to June 27, and the program has started accepting actual enrollments. Until now, the plan administrator, SHPS, Inc., had been accepting only expressions of interest in the program. SHPS now is sending out messages to all those who expressed that interest to confirm if they want to actually enroll in the program, which will allow employees to set aside money pre-tax for certain health care and dependent care expenses. Those who had not previously expressed an interest in enrolling may now enroll as well, online at www.fsafeds.com or by calling (877) 372-3337.
